  • It's easy to say, "Pray for the victims in Haiti." But how do you pray for someone you don't know?

First, ask God for direction. Next, quiet your mind and listen with your "heart", your spirit. It may be faint or strong, but something will be there. You may think it's just your own thoughts, but that's all right. Pray it anyway. Then thank Him for the answer.

But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away. (Mat 13:21 NIV)

Prayer: LORD, circumstances of life may cause me to fall down or fall back, but I do not ever want to fall away from You. Help me grow deep roots in You so that when difficult times come, I will survive and continue to grow in the solid ground of our relationship. In Jesus' name, Amen.
